Choose your race

Race shapes ability bonuses, traits, and where you start culturally. Pick the one that feels right - mechanics are secondary to story for now.

Choose your class

Class is your role + skill set + how you survive. Hit die determines toughness; primary ability is what your class leans on most.

◆ Pick one to start. From level 2 you can multiclass - your next level-up branches into a second class (Paladin-Warlock, Fighter-Wizard, and more). You gain that class's hit die, spell slots, and kit, and the Game Master plays both sides of you.

Choose your background

Background = who you were before adventuring started. Grants 2 skill proficiencies + a roleplay feature.

Assign your ability scores

Standard array - drag-and-drop is overkill; just pick from each dropdown. Each value (15/14/13/12/10/8) used exactly once. Racial bonuses applied automatically.

Method: Standard Array
Standard array: 15 14 13 12 10 8

Pick your skills

Your class lets you pick a number of skills you're proficient in. Background also grants skills - those are automatic and not shown here (already on your sheet).

Final choices + save

A few last decisions your class, race, and background still leave to you - equipment, languages, tool craft, and (for Half-Elves) where the +1/+1 lands. Then a character name and you're done.
